My fall favorites are a mix of high and low end pieces, which is pretty typical of my shopping habits. I love a good bargain, but I hate sacrificing quality. Case in point...I can't tell you how many black blazers I've been through over the years. I've tried them from everywhere from Target, to H&M, to Forever 21...and they either didn't fit quite right, or showed signs of wear after just a couple of uses. I recently decided to just bite the bullet and invest in the J. Crew Schoolboy blazer (which I found on eBay in my size!), and IT. IS. AMAZING! I got it in petite sizing it's the perfect fit in the shoulders and torso, though the sleeves are about half an inch too short for my taste (I just cuff the sleeves). Perfect example where it's better to invest in the pricier option for a closet staple...and I'll have it for years to come!

On the other hand, I can never get enough of Forever 21's blouse selection. Their quality seems to be a bit better in recent seasons and you can't beat the prices! Another favorite of mine this season has been the patent flats from Forever 21 above, and the ankle boots from Old Navy...seriously, these are sooo comfortable!

Sorry riding boots. It's been real, but I think it's over. It's not you, it's me...and my heart now belongs to ankle boots.

Jk, jk. I could never give up completely on my favorite riding boots (which just happen to be the Madewell Archive boots pictured above), but ankle boots are just so easy! Easy to slip on, easy to find the perfect fit (I don't know about you but I probably tried on about 30 pairs of riding boots before I found some that fit my short little legs), and overall they're much cheaper!

Can I just share with all of you how much I love these Old Navy Strappy Ankle Boots (so much so that I got them in both brown and black)! They're amazingly comfortable...and the best part is, they're less than 10% the cost of the Rag + Bone version! Seriously, it's a no brainer!

As I mentioned last week, I'll be starting a new job this coming Monday...and the best part (okay not the best part, but it's still pretty awesome) is that I get to dress up again for work! I don't know about you ladies, but I really enjoy getting dressed up for work. I'd much rather put on a nice dress and heels instead of jeans and a t-shirt. When else do you get to show off all your amazing shopping finds?!?!

Here's a few of the things I've picked up in the past couple of weeks getting ready for my new job, or "back to work shopping" as I call it. Why should the kids in school have all the fun, right?!?

My favorite find above is #6. I'd been searching for a black pleated skirt for a long time, and found the perfect one at H&M...in the kids school uniforms!!! That's right...$9.95! Best. Deal. Ever.

H&M Online Shopping Now Available in the US!

It's been awhile, but today is August 1st and that means that online shopping is now available at hm.com in the US! Let's all say it together...FINALLY! Shipping is a flat $5.95, and unfortunately you cannot return items in-store that were purchased online...but I'll take what I can get!

I've displayed my top ten picks from their site above...a lot of blacks and greys for fall and I LOVE those tortoise shell heels!
