this vs that: when life gives you lemons

1. kate spade // 2. banana republic // 3. ann taylor

...you make them into a dress!

Fruit prints are everywhere this season, from J. Crew, to ModCloth, to Target, and everything in between! Lemons are personally my favorite...something about the fresh lemon patterns...and they remind me of Betty Draper's wardrobe!

Here I've found three beautiful lemon-printed dresses at varying price points. Personally, the Banana Republic version is my favorite, and it comes in petite!

Which version would you wear?

just another maxi monday.

I know maxi dresses have been popular for quite awhile now, but I'm a little late to the game. Being on the shorter side (I"m 5'2"), I always thought a maxi dress wouldn't quite look right on me, or make me look even shorter. It's only after seeing several other petite bloggers rocking the maxi dress that made me give them a second thought (thanks Jen!).

I spent some time browsing the interwebs and found so many fun, colorful options...from the sleek red J. Crew number above (perfect for a black tie wedding or cotillion maybe), to the embroidered green beauty from Anthropologie (perfect for a baby shower or a beach side wedding), the options are endless. No matter what your body type (or your budget!), there's a maxi dress out there waiting for you ladies!

I"ll be attending a wedding in Cabo this fall and I'll be wearing #9 above in teal...can't wait! Where did you find your favorite maxi dress?

fit + flare.

As you've probably noticed, fit and flare dresses are everywhere this season. Not only are they my favorite style of dress, but they're also ultra flattering and look good on just about every body type. Fitted on top, they highlight the smallest part of your body (your waist) while camouflaging the widest (your hips).

Check out some of my favorite fit and flare dresses of the season, from the wallet friendly options under $35 to some higher end styles priced at $100+.

Have you added a fit and flare dress to your closet this season? Which is your favorite?
