While Andrea Everyday is primarily a fashion blog, I'd say it's also something of a a lifestyle blog. A big part of my life is running, so I wanted to share a little bit of my lifestyle with all of you today...running!

So, I know that Lulu Lemon is everywhere these days, and while they do make great items...so do a lot of other lower priced brands! I know, I know...now Lulu Lemon is never going to sponsor one of my posts, but I'm okay with that! The whole idea behind Andrea Everyday is that the everyday girl can be stylish and look great without spending a ton of money!

Before I start talking about cost, let's start with running gear basics. First, stay away from cotton! Cotton fabrics absorb moisture (aka sweat) and take forever to dry, leaving you wet and cold. A general rule of thumb is to stick with synthetic fabrics that wick away moisture for all athletic activities, not just running. I don't even wear cotton socks...I buy socks specifically labeled for running and "quick dry." Trust me, your feet will thank you! Next, running is a high impact sport so you're going to want to wear a medium to high-impact sports bra (depending on how large your little ladies are).

As you can see above, I've put together an assortment of my favorite sports bras, running tanks, and running leggings from lower priced stores that include Target, Old Navy, H&M, and Forever 21...all priced below $30. While none of these carry a designer logo, these are all products I've use and wear frequently and they're awesome!

One item I refuse to skimp on however, is my running shoes. Quality shoes are the most important piece of gear you're going to wear when running and it's sooooo important to protect your feet to prevent injuries. A proper fitting shoe (always go up half a size) can help prevent everything from plantars, to shin splints, to knee pain. Moral of the story, if you're saving money on the rest of your gear, you owe it to yourself to invest in a quality pair of running shoes!

A couple of my other running "must-haves" include a long sleeve light weight running jacket for colder weather (this one is great...thumb holes!), an arm band for your phone, and a great running playlist!

Sorry, this ended up being a much longer post that I usually write, but I hope you all find this information helpful...and maybe even inspired to get out there and run. Feel free to comment below with any questions/tips/your fave running items!

Happy running!

xoxo,
